Post Graduate Department of Physics

The PG Department of Physics is one of the earliest Post Graduate departments of the campus. Currently, the department has thrived and developed into a center of PG studies and research. The department offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Physics. The department has been offering a 2-year course in M.Sc. in Physics since 2012. The dept has well qualified, experienced, and motivated faculty members. All faculties are either with Ph.D. degree or are pursuing doctoral degree. The dept houses well-equipped postgraduate and research laboratories. The department is headed by Dr. Nagaraja K.P, Professor of Physics.

PROGRAMMES OFFERED

M.Sc

The department offers a modern 4 semester Master’s program. In addition to the compulsory core subjects, the students are at liberty to opt for soft core papers offered by the department.
