DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

The department of History was started in 1950s and has currently three faculty members. All of them are actively involved in research and teaching. The dept. offers history as a cognate course at B. A. level. The faculty uses both traditional lecture method and PowerPoint presentations. Faculty members encourage the students to develop their skills of communication through group discussion and individual seminars. The students use centralized facility of computer laboratory in the college library for digital resources. The department organizes seminars and invited lectures by distinguished scholars for advanced knowledge. Field Trips to nearby places of importance are also undertaken.
