DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY

The Department of Geography is one of newest departments of the College. Established in 2017. The department is offering B.A. Course with HEG and H(major Hindi)GP combinations. At present 36 students are studying Geography as one of the main subjects.
The faculty has attended many National and International workshop/ Conference/ Seminars and has presented research papers. Careers and Employability Service. Often directly relating to a geography degree, and working with the world around you, these careers link directly to many of the modules available to you through the Geography department. They build on the skills and knowledge learnt directly from your modules. Many roles in this sector will require the use of mapping or analysis software. Getting into these careers may rely on having the appropriate skills from the modules you choose, so think about this when choosing subjects throughout your degree. Cartographer, Climate Change Analyst, Climatologist, Emergency Management Specialist, Geomorphologist, Geospatial analyst, GIS specialist, Hydrologist, Location analyst, Meteorologist, Pollution Analyst, Remote Sensing Analyst, Soil Conservationist, Surveyor, Town planner, and Water conservation officer.
