National Service Scheme (NSS) of Field Marshal K M Cariappa college, aimed at developing student’s personality through community service, is working as campus-community linkage through noble service and activities throughout the year.
Every academic year, NSS conducts activities and programs to orient students in National problems, philosophy of NSS, Fundamental rights, Traffic Awareness programme, Consumer awareness, Environment enrichment and conservation by planting trees in the campus and in public places. Health, family welfare and nutrition related programs to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society like Cleaning, afforestation, Stage shows, street shows and procession creating awareness of issues as social problems, education and cleanliness and Awareness Rallies.
A week long NSS annual camp at different remote villages of the district is the main event of NSS activity and has been a great success over the years. The NSS volunteers involve themselves completely and learnt from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources.
