NCC Report for NAAC (Nov-2016)

  

Extending helping hand, the NCC unit of the college collected Rs 30,860 from the staff and students of FMKMCC and handed over to the parents of SUO Naveen Kumar B S, an Ex-NCC Cadet of the Unit who passed away in a road mishap.

For an outstanding service of high order and achievements in NCC, SUO Chekkera P Vishal received the Chief Minister Commendation Award from the Karnataka and Goa Directorate.

SUO Rahul Somanna C V and SUO Prathap Kumar received the Deputy Directorate Generals Award from the Karnataka and Goa Directorate.

SUO Vishal C P and SUO Poovamma M B were recognised as The Best Cadets from the Mangalore group for their achievement and overall performance of NCC activities, they were rewarded with a cheque of Rs 3,500 each by the Group Commander Col. S R Sriram from Mangalore Group Head Quarters.

Major Raghav B, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of History, has successfully completed training at Officers Training Academy at Kamptee, Nagpur, Maharashtra, in 2015, where he was secured first rank at National Level NCC Officers Examination and promoted from the Rank of Captain to Major. Appreciating his remarkable achievement, he was rewarded with cash prize and certificate by Karnataka and Goa Directorate. The award was handed over by Col. SKP Menon (Veer Chakra Awardee) on October 8, 2015 at 19/KAR/BN/NCC, Madikeri.

Commemorating the contribution to the NCC, Major Raghav B was felicitated by the then District In-Charge Minister Mr Dinesh Gundurao, on the occasion Republic Day Celebration held at Mans-Compound Ground Madikeri, organised by the District Administration. MLC Sunil Subramani, Deputy Commissioner Meer Anees Ahemed also present during the occasion. He also felicitated by the College authority and Mangalore University History Association.

SUO Vishal C P, SUO Rahul Somanna C V, SUO Prathap Kumar and RD Cadet SUO Poovamma M B was honoured by Home Minister K J George at Fort premises in Madikeri on the occasion of Independence Day celebration -2015.

SUO Gowtham T L and SUO Nishan B S were felicitated by the college authority on the occasion of college day for their achievement in national level.

About 10 percent of the total NCC cadets are joining the Defence Force annually.

As part of community service, the NCC unit conducting cleanliness drive, blood donation, afforestation, health awareness programme, traffic awareness, anti drug awareness, fire fighting programme, literacy awareness programme, anti terrorism awareness programme etc.
